IronCAD Version 9.0 Releases in Japan
ATLANTA, GA. April 03, 2007 – IronCAD, LLC today announced its Japanese release of IronCAD Version 9. IronCAD’s existing functionality has been enhanced to match the needs of a growing Japanese user base and new features, like SmartAssembly, Design Variations and IntelliStretch, are helping designers and engineers bring their products to market faster.
No other CAD software provider matches IronCAD’s performance. Intelligent design technology like SmartAssembly (which automatically sizes and aligns geometry) and Automatic Feature Reordering (which eliminates the need to track design history) makes IronCAD easy to use. These are two examples of many IronCAD features that simplify design, features that have been standard since IronCAD’s inception (others include the Triball, Handles and IntelliShapes).
Among IronCAD’s new features, Design Variations, which enable storage of multiple parametric component variations, allow users to build intelligent components stored in IronCAD Catalogs. This new feature activates when a shape is dropped from a catalog into the scene. Users then select the variation option to apply, reducing the need to create multiple component configurations and eliminating repetitive parameter setting on components. Other improvements include:
- SmartAssembly automatic positioning and sizing
- IntelliStretch sizebox stretch capability
- Assembly-based spot and point light capability
- Shell command options for inside/outside shell
- 2D sketch, new creation types and SmartSnap update
- Copy/link components along a 3D curve
- Point creation in 3D curves as reference points
- 3D curve modification tool enhancements
- Surface creation and modification enhancements
- Sheet metal closed corner tool
- Right-click quick property access to styles and layer information
- Automatic dimensioning of view or selected view area
- Automatic center mark/line creation
- Styles and layers property eye-dropper
- Carline and check sheet for automotive JIG
- Updated partner CD with additional one-year trial programs
