IronCAD, LLC Announces TEAMVAULT Innovative
Engineering Data Management Solution

InnovationSuite Component Combines Flexibility and Ease of Use

ATLANTA, GA., October 4, 2001—IronCAD, LLC, the innovative design solutions company, today announced TEAMVAULT, a new, simple to deploy, flexible and cost effective Web-based Engineering Data Management (EDM) system that provides the necessary and most commonly requested features for PDM. TEAMVAULT is a key component of InnovationSuite (see related announcement today), a fully integrated design and information management environment that encourages both creativity and teamwork.

TEAMVAULT was developed to provide a secure, controlled storage environment where design files can be shared and managed throughout the entire New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Its intuitive navigation environment and client access via Web browser provide quick organization and control of information, especially important features for companies just starting to implement data management. TEAMVAULT also provides advanced capabilities and a scalable architecture which make it an excellent workgroup or design team EDM system for large companies.

Key capabilities of TEAMVAULT include:

·         Simplified data access using a familiar Web browser, graphical thumbnails and a file management process similar to the Windows file system.

·         Extremely fast implementation time and minimal system administration requirements because TEAMVAULT uses state-of-the-art indexing technology, not a relational database.

·         A powerful, scalable architecture that can be configured to meet current needs and expanded to meet growing requirements for data access and management.

·         Tight integration with all InnovationSuite components, plus the ability to be used seamlessly with other CAD and viewing products to access a wide range of design and manufacturing data.

·         Custom CAD clients for AutoCAD, IRONCAD and INOVATE that allow a user to directly access the storage vault from within the CAD application, enabling management of assembly structures and access to important design documents and files.

·         Native file format management and viewing of commonly needed non-CAD information, including MS-Office, common image formats (like JPEG & GIF), PDF and TXT.

·         Multi-level security based on group domain access privileges.

According to Keith Kudlac, TEAMVAULT Product Manager, “Data management is supposed to help users organize, use, re-use and control all the electronic information that is generated by a design team. Many of today’s products are so complex and take so long to implement that users choose to redo rather than re-use. TEAMVAULT is everything most users want and need for data management, without PDM’s drawbacks or frustrations.”

Beta user Louis Dennis, Engineering Manager at Thermo Web Systems, Inc., concurs:  “What attracted us to TEAMVAULT was its ability to provide the features we most need from PDM without all the hassles. It’s easy to implement and easy to use and maintain.”

TEAMVAULT is part of InnovationSuite, a tightly integrated design and data management solution that was created to enable small-to-medium sized manufacturers and engineering teams to develop products more quickly, at higher quality standards and lower cost. It was developed to be the most cost effective, flexible and easiest to learn and use solution on the market.

TEAMVAULT and other InnovationSuite components will begin shipping to customers October 31, 2001.
