Karling Racing Debuts New Bike Designed Completely in IronCAD

First Race Scheduled for July 8th in Finland

ATLANTA, GA. July 05, 2007 – IronCAD today announced Karling Racing, an IronCAD-sponsored team, will begin their 2007 season on July 8th at the FIA’s (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) FHRA Nitro Nationals in Finland. Team Karling races a super twin drag racing motorcycle designed completely in IronCAD.

“More than 4000 hours have been spent designing this bike,” says Charley Karling, the Team’s founder, “Some nights kept us working until midnight to ensure we’d finish on time. If we didn’t have IronCAD, there’s no way we would have had this bike designed and built in the time we did,” he continued.

Karling’s new design will be capable of speeds over 230 mph with many of the bike’s parts having been milled from native IronCAD files using a CNC machine. The bike’s power comes from a nitrogen-fueled engine that produces 1000 horsepower, 200 horsepower more than Karling’s previous model. An analysis of the boost chamber using IronCAD allowed Karling’s engineers to increase output from 30 PSI to 35 PSI, resulting in the engine’s increased power.
