IronCAD and Top Swedish Drag Racing Team Attend ATLANTA, GA. May 3, 2006 – IronCAD and Velocity Performance Group (VPG), a top Swedish drag racing team, will attend the 2006 Product Development Show on May 17th and 18th in Birmingham, England. By using IronCAD to custom-build components for their dragsters, VPG was able to rank third in the 2005 Top Methanol Funny Car class of the FIA European Drag Racing Championships. Funny Car racing is a heavily regulated sport and teams must follow a tight set of rules when designing their vehicles. With IronCAD, VPG has been able to custom-build parts to regulatory guidelines that can handle the rigors of drag racing. These parts yield better performance than store-bought models and allow VPG to contend with their professional racing counterparts. “Custom-made parts give us the edge,” says Leanders, “We design our parts using IronCAD and test them on the computer before ever reaching production. That’s how our small team became one of the top Funny Car racers in Europe,” he continued. At the 2006 Product Development show, attendees will learn the flexibility and ease of use IronCAD offers over traditional design tools that force users to accept the design philosophy of their application. Show participants will have opportunities to speak to VPG team members and find out how IronCAD increased productivity and led them to success.
