Merry Mechanization, Inc. continues to provide the most effective technology in CAD/CAM software
for the sheet metal fabrication field. Our latest version, SMP/IS includes many enhancements which deliver increased
speed and efficiency in programming.
The program associates the parts, customers, materials, and methods databases for each part, offering increased
control in choosing the most cost-effective method for manufacturing. The programmer may save a part in different
methods (e.g., creating multiple NC files for alternate punch machines with different tool loads) as well as
various types of nests on different size blanks. This permits the user to send a part to any number of machines
without having to reprogram. The capability to create templates based on title block information allows the
programmer to fully customize and re-use the information associated with each individual part. Load Manager offers
the ability to drag and drop tooling from crib to turret, and uses color coding to graphically identify the
tools that are being used. Die crib information is also available, showing preferred and usable dies. Using Tool
Manager, the programmer is now able to see each tool in the crib graphically represented for instant visual
verification. Special shape tools are easily handled and the angle of the tool can be shown. AutoMate Express
automatically imports batches of flats created in the user's existing software, and can run unattended as it
creates a log of problem parts that can be edited manually.
