Switch between Parasolid and Acis Kernel
Acis will create a needless cut!
Acis needs an Update!

Are you talking about the start/end edge? I think this is a limitation to ACIS. It cannot close a sweep shape onto itself (Create a sweep cylinder that ends at the start face and you can see the issue). It will always create that edge, where as Parasolid can support it. We can look to see if they have options for this but I think I remember this as a limitation.

Hi Cary
Yes please this would be great.

In fact the shape is a thicken shape.
But I got many problems cause of this limitation.
It was counted in my list of wishes as: "delete not used edges" cause it looks like an edge.
I thought the thicken shapes are not sweep shapes, so I learned about that today.
To me it is important cause I want to unfold the faces later and this is a cut trough the face.
And even one more: I create my shapes by "Thicken Face" and will "Thicken Face" the result again! (this is unfoldable)
See my new work
Many thanks
Carlo

Thanks Tom
I work mostly on stock but I do commissions also.
This one goes on an exhibition in March and will stand in front of a church.
