I have not yet installed 2011 and don't want to if PU1 is about to come out. Just let me know about how long we are looking at.

Thanks,
Scott

PU1 will not be available until Mid to late Q1 2011. Currently there is 2011 and Hotfix #1 available.

Okay, I will go ahead and make the switch. With every passing year I become a little less impatient to install new versions of ANY software, but I am really looking forward to some of the new tools in 2011. Unfolding surfaces from solids, the weldment trims, and new surface modeling tools will all really help me if they work like I hope. I have been wishing for fewer trips into Rhino for a long time and this might do it.

Don't forget that version 2011 is also very stable! We have few reports (if any) about problems and some users call it the most reliable and stable version for many years. I can only agree cool.gif

Thanks Jonas, that is very good to hear. XG 2009 has been very good for me, which made me more reluctant to upgrade until 2011 had some time on it.

...and good job there, Whipcracker. wink.gif
