-Drag in a stock
-Ad a bend
-Delete the stock
-Rightmouse the bend in Intellishape mode, select properties.
-Select tab Bend
-Set first and second bend stock to zero.
-Rightmouse the angle handle and put in like 359,9 degrees.
Now you have a sheetmetal cylinder to flat.

Excellent tip! I find that you can add a seam on the ends before changing the bend angle. The two ends don't line up correctly for the seam, but it gets close enough. I tried entering 360 for the angle and when I checked the result, it was 359.994 - which must be the maximum angle.

Yes, Robert's tip works fine. But it's even easier if you first drag in the Stock and then ad a Bend w/ Stock. That way you can simply delete both stocks and you don't have to go to the Intellishape properties to set the stock lengths to zero.

Right, but it is even furter easy if you create a cylinder in a scene, and then drag it in to you own sheetmetalcatalog. Then it's just to drag it out when needed.
Beat that!
