I think I got it figured out.. a method to save a file that is in the process of being corrupted? meaning.. you have to do it when you start seeing a string of warnings and errors that prevent you from saving the file.. like curve point not found.. or failed to save.. file not found.. etc? when you start seeing this.. get ready.. you don?t have much time left.. because before you know it ..you will have a 2k trashed file..
I have to admit.. I am running v10 with no hotfixes.. but this may help someone anyway?
On occasion.. copying and pasting the file into a new file.. or dragging into the catalog.. or even a simple save as can work..
In this case none of these options worked.. the file was way too large.. and IC couldn?t handle the copy and paste options .. or dragging it into the catalog.. I almost lost the whole rocket.. I had lots of work invested in this assembly? and this file was really jacked up..
This is what I did?
With the bad.. or dying file open.. I opened a new file.. Insert the dying file as a link.. then unlink it.. Do some cleanup work as needed.. then save the file of course?
Then I rebooted.. and deleted out the local folder for good measure?
When I looked at the bad assembly.. it was gone.. just a 2k trashed file?
Hope you never have to use this method.. but just incase..
