Our IT guy here pointed me to http://www.7-zip.org/

This thing is amazing, took a 48mb AVI down to 600kb. Winzip compressed to 24mb. Should be a good tool for uploading large files to this forum.

Maybe even better the Winrar, especially now that Winrar is not free.

It's not a codec just a way to compress the file into a small archive, similar to a .zip file.
