in the past when you extended a line and it met the end of another line did it automatically connect or did we have to connect it. For some reason I am having to connect a lot more lines now a days and was wondering if that was normal

They should auto connect when you click "Finish Shape"

it just freaks me out to see all the red dots. That is cool I will try that from now on I just trained my brain to always connect them
