I've been trying to model a sea snail shell.......... by lofting a half round 2D shape around a spiral guide curve, the initial shape is small and is attached to the center point of spiral and the second shape is attached to the opposite end of the guide curve, i set the loft command to auto calc the number of transitions but the loft doesn't follow the guide curve, it just joins the two profiles in a straight line.

Any ideas on how to tackle this one would be great.

In the loft command, you need to select the Centerline box and select the curve to follow. If you don't pick the curve, it will just do the straight line loft.
