On Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, the IronCAD team visited Georgia Tech for the K-12 InVenture Prize. Organized by CEISMC (Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing), this event celebrates the next generation of engineers. We had the honor of judging the IronCAD Mechanical Design Award. This prize recognizes students who master CAD, drafting, and complex mechanical engineering. The competition in the High School division was fierce. We judged five incredible teams: Medi-Loc, Ampipe, The Fire Safety Vent, Adapt-a-Leg, and Hexashield.

The High School IronCAD Mechanical Design Award went to the brilliant team behind Medi-Loc.

Medi-Loc is an intelligent, accessible medication dispensing system. It solves a critical problem: medication non-adherence. This is a major challenge for older patients facing cognitive decline or limited dexterity. The team designed a secure, affordable, and effective distributor. It helps families and caregivers ensure patients take their daily doses safely and on time.

The Medi-Loc team impressed us with more than just a 3D model. They presented a complete vision for their product. Their presentation included:
