Setting Up Styles/Layers/Line Types/ Units
Defining styles, layers, and line types is an important aspect in template creation since only styles, layers, and line types contained in the selected drawing template are available for the current drawing.
New styles, layers, and line types can be added, as desired, to a drawing. However, creating a template with commonly styles, layers, and line types eliminates the need to edit these element each time a new drawing is created and provides the added benefit of consistency among your drawing files.
Since the default templates provide only a limited number of styles, layer, and line type definitions, time should be taken in creating these definitions that might be required in the future.
